Teachers by Day, Performers by Heart

At Legato Music, we don’t just teach music; we live it! Since 2015, our in-house band, comprised of our dedicated music teachers has been sharing another passion for band performances!

Our band is an extension of our love for music. We’re as much at home under the spotlight at events as we are teaching scales and chords in our classes. Performing at various concerts and gatherings has allowed us to connect with audiences just as we connect with our students. Our journey has been diverse and vibrant. We’ve lit up stages at various concerts, events, and weddings. Our recent showstoppers include the “SING & SWING” concert headlined by Anthony Chang and the SHAREDA 45th Annual Dinner, where our music added a special touch to the evening.

Through our performances, we strive to connect with our audience, just as we do with our students, making every concert and event an extension of our classroom. Our diverse and vibrant musical journey, from music education to live band showcases, demonstrates our commitment to enriching the cultural tapestry of Kota Kinabalu’s music school band performances.

While we’re primarily educators, we occasionally step out to perform. Each gig, wedding, or event we play allows us to celebrate music in another setting. It’s a part of who we are.
